Sisters! Lets get together!
Let´s spend the weekend together, sharing our stories and wisdom, inspiring each other with our life stories and the love from our hearts. We all belong together. Let´s meet to strengthen the bonds between us!
The program will be very varied and a lot of fun. You will be able join in meditation and kiirtan (chanting) as well as in movement, yoga and relaxation.
We will be in the Sunrise playschool in Hässelby, a bit northwest of Stockholm (it´s just 45 min by t-bana from the Central station). The Sunrise playschool is quite spacious and nearby there are forests and the sea.
Arrival day will be in the afternoon of Friday the 1st of May, at 18.00 we will start songs and kiirtan, then the evening will be spent in good company. If you are very new to meditation and yoga, please come at least an hour earlier to have an introduction to our practices.
Saturday we will have a whole day together and Sunday afternoon we will depart.

To get there
By train: Take the train to Stockholm Central station. From there you go to the Tunnelbana (there are signs for the T-bana) to Hässelby strand. Go down the stairs and take left when you go out on the street. Cross the street by the roundabout and continue walking straight ahead until you come to a place where the road goes over a tiny bridge (there is a pedestrian path underneath). Just before the little bridge turn left. Continue to walk straight ahead until you come to a house on the left with a fence around it. That´s the Sunrise Playschool.
By car: From the south - come past the centre of Stockholm on the E4. Just after Fridhemsplan there are signs to Vällingby. Please look out for them very carefully, the turn is very sharp! Continue on the road that leads to Vällingby and Hässelby. Turn towards the Hässelby slott, on to Maltesholmsvägen. Drive past an old tankstation and turn left on Aprikosvägen. Drive on for a little bit and turn right to Piongränd.

1. 50 Year Commemorative. PROUT Global Convention
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK 20-27 JULY 2009
Baba conducted the First Prout Convention during 17-22 October 1959 in Jamalpur and next autumn will be the 50 year anniversary of this historic event. To mark this occasion, we are planning a number of Prout related events during 2009 and 2010, starting July 20-27, 2009 with a global Prout Global Convention in Copenhagen, Denmark, the place Baba designated as the Global Office of Prout.
The Convention
The main focus of this convention will be to revitalize the Prout movements in all sectors and coordinate all our efforts. This is especially urgent given the present global economic crisis that is increasingly affecting everyone. Proutists have an important role to play in the transformation of global society.
This Global Convention is for those who have a passion for Prout regardless of what view one may have on the present organizational crisis. Baba gave Prout "for the happiness and all-round welfare of all."
Your Invitation
The Global Prout Office and the Prout Convention Organizing Committee invite all Proutists to attend this historic convention. The program is arranged to accommodate everyone interested in Prout, those experienced in running Prout projects as well as those new to Prout.
The Venue
The Master Unit, 'Ananda Gaori', is situated in beautiful, rolling countryside 50 mins to the northwest of Copenhagen. Additional renovations are under way to make it a perfect venue for this convention with beds for everyone. For those who like camping, there is ample space for tents and more than 10 hectares for children to run. There is also a campground five minutes drive from the MU that is on a beach and sand dune area stretching for 20 kilometers.
Program
The program will consist of one day of presentations from invited speakers on the 21st of July. The presentations will expose participants to existing Prout activities in various parts of the world, such as Prout College, the Prout Research Institute of Venezuela, presentation of samaj movements and Prout activities in India, Ang Kasama in Maharlika, the Haiti cooperatives, Burkina Faso Cooperatives, etc. We will also have thought-provoking discussions on Prout in today's society. Is the current economic crisis rocking the world or is it the beginning of the end of capitalism as we know it? If so, this is the time people will seriously be looking for alternatives. In such case, what can we as Proutists do to influence events and bring the ideas of Prout to the forefront of people's consciousness as a viable alternative? Also, to what extent should we be involved in political activism, joining other progressive groups in fighting for specific demands? Is there a danger of weakening or modifying our Prout platform in order to get a more ready acceptance for our idea? These are just some of the types of things we will try to explore during the first day.
After the presentations, in the next two days we will use the "Open Space Technology" model to develop action plans that participants are passionate about working on. This model results in plans that are actually realizable and involving those who are capable and committed to make them happen.
The "Open Space" provides opportunity for those new to Prout to learn more about Baba's revolutionary socio-economic theory. The system also results in concrete action plans for those participants who are ready project Prout in their sphere of influence.
The program following the open space sessions will begin on Thursday afternoon, the 23rd of July. This program will concentrate on developing our skills and our ability to project Prout to the public. This will include classes on Prout. There will be workshops such as, Making Our Presentations Artistically Refined to Touch Layers of the Mind Other Than Just the Intellect and Speaking From The Heart. There will also be strong focus on strengthening our sadhana and strengthening our personal resolve with sadhana shivir and akhanda kiirtan to better prepare ourselves to bring Prout to the attention of the public.
The final detailed program including the opening day presentations will be conveyed to you when we have everyone confirmed.
Costs
The cost of participation will be kept to a minimum, as we will basically only be charging for food and consumables. The total cost is Danish Kronor 1100 (Euros 150. US$200). In order to give opportunity to the widest possible number of people to participate, a limited fund will be available to help defray participation and transportation costs for people from countries having a disadvantage in exchange rates. Please apply to the organizing committee well in advance for any financial assistance.
(The cost for just the first three days will be DKK 550, ?75, US$ 100.)

Plan to arrive before 4:00 P.M. (kl.16:00) on the 20th. Departure from the convention will be after the closing session ending at noon the 27th. Transportation arrangements will be made after you register.

By airplane or train: Take a train to Holbæk, about 1 hour from Copenhagen main station and then telephone. Someone will pick you up at the station in Holbæk.

As the global economy continues to crumble around our ears, it is women and children who stand to suffer the most. Lack of food, medical care, shelter, education, and physical safety are all pressing needs that millions around the world are facing today. Amurtel is sponsoring this conference to provide the skills and support for those who are either already working in or wish to become more active in social service. Come join us in the beautiful green of the Irish countryside as we explore the best ways to meet the growing challenges being faced by so many.
Program: We will have 4 days of practical, h and s- on workshops geared to address the challenges we face in providing relief to those in greatest need. Workshops will include:
· How to determine what project to start
· Designing the project and creating partnerships
· Fundraising and grant writing to sustain the project
· Challenges we face and specific solutions to overcoming them- physical, mental and spiritual
· Management skills needed to run a project.
And of course - wonderful kiirtan, sataunga and delicious organic food provided by the Sunrise Farm.
Cost: Euros 75 / $100 US / $30 for those coming from Delhi , Kahira, Nairobi and GT sectors.
Transportation: Aer Lingus often has good deals on flights directly into Shannon, where we can be pick you up. Other options are to fly into Dublin, and connect to a three hour bus ride. Ryan Air has very inexpensive flights from Gatwick and Stanstad in London to Shannon and Dublin. Of course, the sooner you book your flight, the cheaper it will be. Let us know your travel plans and we will work with you to make it as easy as possible.
